Consultation has concluded
The Town of Halton Hills is undertaking this study to develop a long-term trucking strategy. The Trucking Strategy Study will explore opportunities to develop a more safe and efficient approach to managing trucking throughout the town to support economic and employment activities while balancing the impacts to quality of life for the community.
The Trucking Strategy will be developed to achieve the following objectives:
Over the course of the study, the Town will consult and engage with residents, businesses and stakeholders to help identify the issues, opportunities and challenges associated with trucking in the community. The input that is gathered will help develop and evaluate solutions that could ultimately support the redirection of truck traffic away from our downtowns and urban areas.

A key component of the trucking strategy is involvement of the community. We have recently completed the first round of public consultation including an online survey, presentations and a series of public open house meetings to get your input on the role of trucking in the community, and how it impacts day-to-day life. We will be publishing a summary of this round of consultation in the near future.
Our team is currently working hard to develop strategies to address the comments and concerns we heard through the first round of consultation. These strategies will be presented to the public in Fall 2017. Until then, please let us know if you have a question related to the study or trucking in Halton Hills.
We will try our best to answer all questions within one week. For more urgent matters please contact a member of the project team directly.
