Town of Halton Hills Council will conduct a Public Meeting to examine and discuss the Premier Gateway Employment Area Zoning By-law & Urban Design Review project. The Public Meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 6 p.m. via Zoom virtual meeting.

To join the virtual meeting, use one of the following methods and a staff member will admit you once the item is being discussed:

Halton Hills’ Premier Gateway Employment Area was established in 2000 along the Highway 401 corridor and is identified as the Town’s prestige employment area where large scale employment growth is directed and a number of successful developments have been constructed. The Premier Gateway Employment Area Zoning By-law & Urban Design Review will ensure that standards continue to achieve desirable development and are responsive to the needs of businesses.

The public and development community are invited to watch the recorded presentation posted on this webpage, complete the survey, provide comments and ask questions as part of a Virtual Public Open House. Input received by July 17th will be used to inform the staff report and future public meeting in front of Council. This survey will remain open until the fall of 2020 to allow input received after the Public Meeting to inform the final staff report considered at Council.

    Does the development area include eliminating Hornsby Glen golf course? If so, BAD idea!

    Thank you for your question and interest in the project.

    The project does not involve removing or adding areas to the Premier Gateway Employment Area, only updating standards for the existing Zoning By-law 2000-0138 for the Phase 1A and 2A Employment Areas and proposing new Urban Design Guidelines for these areas as well as the Phase 1B Employment Area. 

    For your information, the Hornby Golf Course is located within the Phase 1B Employment Area, which is located within the study area for the review of the Urban Design Guidelines.
