Consultation has concluded

In partnership with Leash-Free Halton Hills, a new off leash dog park is being designed and will be located within Trafalgar Sports Park at 11494 Trafalgar Road in Georgetown. This is your opportunity to provide input as to the features you would like to see included in the park.

Current off Leash areas include Prospect Park in Acton and Cedarvale Park in Georgetown with each area approximately 3200m2. The proposed off leash park at Trafalgar Sports Park will be approximately 9300m2.

Thank you for your feedback on the concept designs. Based on responses we have created a final design that incorporates the best features of both designs. The new park will include:

Adventure play area, drinking fountain, shelter, limestone screenings pathways, benches, grass surfacing, lighting and a special use/small dog area. Based on feedback we determined not to include a specific dog toilet area and ditch feature.

Construction is anticipated to commence Fall 2020 and completion scheduled for Fall 2021.
