The John Street Neighbourhood Traffic Calming report was submitted to the Planning, Public Works and Transportation Committee meeting on February 18, 2020. Community members can watch the meeting here.

Over the last few years, the Town of Halton Hills undertook a number of studies to assess the need for traffic calming improvements for John Street. In 2018, the Town implemented non-intrusive traffic calming measures in the form of warning signs and pavement markings (Learn more). These additions did demonstrate an improvement in traffic speeds, however, it was evident that additional measures warranted consideration.

Residents are invited to review the proposed improvements listed below and share their comments.

Comments are also welcome at a Public Information Centre (PIC) to be held at the Halton Hills Public library located at 9 Church Street on November 21, 2019 at 6 p.m. for residents living in the neighbourhood and motorists that drive on the affected roads. The proposed Traffic Calming Plan will be available for comment and members of the study team will be available to answer any questions.
