Gellert Community Park playground equipment has been replaced an is open for use! Enjoy and please try and keep physical distancing while using the equipment.

Based on the abundant survey response received in the 2019, staff have revised the design and added features to make your new community playground even more amazing!

Features of the playground include junior and senior play equipment, zipline, swings, spinning net climber, activity panels, music area and other inclusive features.

Based on the public's feedback, additional swings were added, junior play-structure was expanded and greater diversity of play features were incorporated. Solo spinner, stand-n-spin and pogo pod features included. Activity panels include connect 4, slide and solve, music, maze and gears with periscope. The play equipment has also been connected with stepping pods and a balance beam. There are a variety of slides, including a roller slide which will provide a new sensory experience for users. Both structures have transfer station stairways and the playground has concrete ramps into the engineered wood fibre safety surface.

Look in the photos and document library on the right side of the web-page for labelled pictures of the final playground design.

A shade sail and picnic tables are also being added within the playground and existing trees will be protected to provide further shade. Additional benches will also be added around the site for seating.
