The Town is committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and becoming a carbon neutral community by 2030 as noted in Council's Climate Change Emergency Declaration.
As part of its Low Carbon Transition Strategy, the Town will be installing electric vehicle (EV) chargers at Town-owned facilities and parking lots throughout the community. These EV chargers will be accessible to the public and are intended to support and accelerate the uptake of low carbon transportation throughout Halton Hills.
Currently, there are EV chargers at the Acton Arena and Community Centre, Mold-Masters SportsPlex, and Town Hall.
The Town is interested to know more about current patterns of EV ownership and charging and preferred locations for the installation of public EV chargers.
