Congratulations to all participants in the 2017 Halton Hills Bike Challenge . Your participation in this year's Bike Challenge helped raise $45,000 for the Georgetown Hospital Foundation!

The Halton Hills Bike Challenge is an annual initiative of the Bicycle Friendly Community Committee. Each year, businesses offer up pledges to be donated to the hospital should the community meet its cycling goal. This year saw 2,174 cyclists meet the goal of riding 416,000km – equal to the length of all paved roads in Canada. This was completed as a virtual cross-country tour in coordination with Canada 150 and Ontario 150 celebrations.

As the saying goes "all good things come to an end." After five years of of uniting residents of Halton Hills to cycle toward a common goal, the Bicycle Friendly Community Committee has decided to focus their efforts on promoting cycling in new and exciting ways.

In addition to raising more than $300,000 for the Georgetown Hospital over five years, the Bike Challenge provides a powerful vehicle to motivate our entire community to enjoy cycling more often and we thank you all for your support and participation.
