Consultation has concluded

The Town of Halton Hills is seeking public input on a proposal for a five-story apartment building at 60 John Street, Georgetown. The owner of the property is currently seeking permission for medium to high density residential uses on the property, combined with the two vacant properties.

An Open House is being held on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 to seek public input on the development proposal. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Open House will be held virtually and online registration is required via the 60 John St. project page on Let’s Talk Halton Hills. Town staff will provide a presentation on the status of appeal on the property and land use permissions in the context of the surrounding area. Information on the proposed concepts for the property will also be presented, followed by a question and answer period.

A previous Open House for a similar proposal took place in February of 2012. The property owner has previously filed an appeal Zoning By-law 2010-0050 (the Comprehensive Zoning By-law). These appeals remain in effect, and no planning applications have been filed with the Town to date.

If you or someone you know requires alternate engagement options or materials, please contact planning staff directly by calling 905-873-2600, x2900 or via email at planning@haltonhills.ca

Questions and concerns can also be directed to the above contact. If you are unable to attend, feedback on the proposal can be provided to khamilton@haltonhills.ca
